Yes, there's a DVD maker program included with Vista Home premium and
Ultimate version which let you do some basic DVD burning.
The greedy bastards at Microsoft decided users of the business version
of Vista which costs $40 more to upgrade to compared to Home Premium
and is the recommended upgrade path from XP Pro, don't need this
feature so you can't burn DVD's directly from Vista Business. So go
buy some extra software that provides this feature like Nero or Easy
CD and spend $80 or more extra.
If you "upgrade" to the business version you also lose out on the
new media center which is probably one of the better new feature in
Vista. I guess Microsoft marketing a-holes think if you run a
business, or go that upgrade path you're not suppose to need to burn a
DVD or take a break and maybe watch TV or other things using media
center. Maybe there's something in the water in Redmond Washington
that causes Microsoft employees to keep making stupid marketing
decisions.
