Does anyone know where I can get Free writers software to creat booklets?

I like KeyNote for the process of writing.

The suggestion from -1/2Cut is superb. I'd also like to suggest
602Software's 602Pro Suite. It's word processor isn't as good at making
booklets as PagePlus 5, but it's way better than Word (and it's free). It
can also put diagramming symbols in your docs.

You can also use PDF995 to print to PDF format. There's another app like
that (maybe Ghostscript, but my memory fails me right now...).

Oops, sorry. My memory really IS failing me--PDF995 is adware (and a bit
buggy, in my limited experience). CutePDF is freeware [
http://www.acroform.com/download/ ] though I've not used it (yet).

Also, OpenOffice can print stuff to PDF, apparently.

(I gotta download those two tonight! :)

Thanks for mentioning yWriter. I'd like to mention that my freeware
ebook reader (yBook) also has a printing mode which will print booklets
with page layout. If the original poster wants to take a text file and
print it, then yBook should do the job. (I use it to print my 300+ page
novels, which are then professionally bound & cropped)

AFAIK it's a hybrid office suite / DTP program that includes modules for
text editing, spreadsheets, etc. that can be embedded into the page layout.
