I am trying to move a word file from My Documents to a CD-RW and get a
message "Disk is write protected. Remove write protection or use another
disk." I've been using this CD for sometime transferring files back and
forth. What can I do to get it back on track where I can transfer files on
to it?

This is not a Word problem. Rather, it's something to do with the CD
Writing software. Do a search on Google for the name of the software and
see if you can come up with any news groups/FAQS for it.

No solution, but...

You _must_ make your copies from Windows, not from Word. Word does not work
well with most removable media.

CD-RW disks are not like floppy disks. When you erase something on a CD-RW
it stays on the disk, taking up space, until you reformat the disk. All that
disappears is the name. Word puts all sorts of temporary files on whatever
disk it is using and then erases them.
