write protection

I am trying to write or overwrite files on a CD Rom r/w disk.get message that the file is write protected. I view the properties of the file and the write protect box is checked. When i attempt to unselect amessage appears "an error has occured applying attributes to the file Access is denied. I am listed as the administrator but cannot change the attributes????????? Can anyone help.
 
Hi,

You can't a) change the attributes of a file on a CD and b) overwrite an
existing file unless you are using UDF and packet writing software.
