Quick Parts

Hi.

1. Is it safe to enable write caching on disk using a notebook? Or it could
somohow demage the HD?
2. Is it possible to measure how much memory improvements i get by using a
2gb flash drive as readyboost?

tks

Hi,

1. It's enabled on my laptop. it won't damage anything, but you do have to
be mindful of potential loss of power. You may lose data from a work in
progress if a sudden power loss occurs.

2. Directly measure? No, there is no facility for that. Whether or not it
will be useful for you depends on how much memory you have installed and
what the demands on the system are.

Hi Rick.

I have another problem. I did the procedure to enable it but the button
"Apply" never becomes enabled, so the only thing i can do is click "ok" but
it doesnt save the changes. Any suggestion?
