hi everyone

I got a file
it is a wps file

I have been looking intensly into what software i need to open it.

I need microsoft works.
I dont have works
i got word 2003 but no works.

bascially my friend sent me this file
which i really need to view.
I just want to see if the file is working and see what written on it.

does anyone here have any ideas how i will be able to view this?

I have looked but finding a wps viewer other than works is becoming impossible

tbhanks

I take it you can't view it by opening with wordpad or notepad?

YEP you are right
when i open it with them

i get all jumbled long long writing
it sucks adywebb :(

I had a similar prob a while back, Bro's lappy has MS Works, he had a works file that he needed to send to someone.

You would think a MS works file would open in MS office wouldn't you.......

Had to copy and paste it to word.

Right click the file, click on "Open With" and wait for the list of programs to come up then select microsoft word ;)

I didn't get the word option when i tried it.....

i get the message "this file appears to be corrupted"

i downloaded the programme itsme said
ill install it tomorow try open it with that

i am just trying to work out if the file is actually working or not

Well it was just a link I quickly found, like I said, I'm not very good on computers so I just try to help out here and there even if the ideas dont work ;)

psd99: It's very likely the file is actually corrupted, from what I've read here.

If Open Office can't open it, ask for the file to be sent again.
