Can anyone recommend a decent WPP with Frontpage support in the UK, or
anywhere really? Had enough now, unless (long shot), there is anyone else
who knows why the FrontPage Extensions don't work on my site, hosted by
Lycos (they don't know either, blame it on Frontpage).

FrontPage extensions are **NOT** installed on the server for your web site.

Run an extensions check using this link:
http://www.flintanddenbighrc.com/_vti_inf.html
and it returns a 404 page not found, which means extensions are not installed.

They don't work on your web because they are not installed on it.

I've had real good service from www.alentus.com they're in Canada but where they are doesn't really matter I guess.

She must not believe us, I've post that at *least* 2x already.

I *DO* believe you, Lycos don't. Unfortunately, I don't have enough
knowledge to be able to argue with them effectively. Thought the best thing
to do would be to change to a different WPP.

Tell the Lycos people to try to open the link I showed you.

And if it returns a 404 page not found, regardless of what Lycos says, the extensions are
either not installed, or not configured properly.

I have tried giving them that link, they just say that it's because FP 2003
is so unreliable, the extensions won't work. They also say they have this
problem with a lot of people using front page. What I can't understand is
why it worked so well for a year before this. So, so I try another
provider, or try another way of making the forms work?

The usual excuses given by a host that doesn't understand or want to deal with FP extensions. If you want to use FP and make your life easier go with a new host that has windows servers and extensions. I use to have several webs on linux/apache servers (still have 2), but I switched all my others to Windows...things are much easier...at least for me they are.
