WPF (Avalon)

So do I understand that WPF (formally Avalon) is in .Net 2.0 platform but if
one was to start using the offical version they would still not have VS 2005
to realistically do anything with it.

Or...is WPF still in the works?

Thanks

WPF is for Vista.
So far it's only beta you got.
Anyway They have a VS plugin in work called Cider. Probably a download of
its beta will appear sometimes on MSDN

Not really, it's also for XP SP2 and W2K3.

Correct, the latest CTP drop of WinFX (November) targets Vista, XP And W2K3
running the v2.0 of the framework and the RTM version of VS2005.
