WPA 30-day grace period timed out but already activated

I recieved the warning everytime I started my computer "Only X days left
to activate Windows" although when I tried to activate it says "Windows
already activated".

Of course the 30 days have now run out and I can't logon to Windows!! When
I try to activate it still says "Windows already activated".

I have no idea what to do, I certainly don't want to reinstall as I spent
a lot of time setting up my computer.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Marty

Unfortunately it didn't work.

Thank you for your reply anyway.

This is exactly why I've been testing out some desktop linux distros.

I pay $300 for XP Pro and this is what I get - quite contrary to what MS
are saying on their product page "Let your computer make life easier in
the new year" http://www.microsoft.com/products/info/default.aspx?View=22 .

What can you do but laugh...

If your system is telling you there is something wrong, ignoring the
problem until it slams the door in your face and then blaming MS for
your shortcoming isn't really exhibiting your strong suites. By the
way Linux isn't idiot proof either.

Hi all,

This page contains the utility that helped me http://antiwpa4.tk/ (the one
at the very top of the list).

It seems the activation problem is widespread and there is not always an
easy fix - sometimes have to do repair install or reinstall or hours spent
trying several different work-arounds that are suggested on different
sites.

So I have no problem recommending the above utility in this newsgroup if
used
legitimately.

It may save hours of work.

Thank you MS for creating so many unnecessary headaches for computer users.
If you can't get it right others surely will.

Cheers,

Marty
