I have adequate knowledge of windows2000 (not the server one) but I am a
newbei in the field of networking. I think if there is a basic and
fundamental tutorial explaining in steps what to do, I can manage.
Ok, but "networking" is a giant subject on which you
might have some success in 10 minutes.
All Windows machines can be servers, or clients. The
products sold as "servers" cost more because they allow
more (licensed) connections and have more features but
all Windows machine CAN support some clients.
Do you have Network cards? Do you have a hub and
some patch cables (or another way) to hook them together?
Have you configured IP on the NICs? (Network Interface Card)
Open a command prompt and keep it open (forever, and re-open
on re-boot). You will learn more and test more effectively from
a common prompt.

Tell us what happens; this is you first tutorial whether it succeeds
or not.
