Hi,

Just wondering whether you guys think this release is a good beta version
and its worth formatting a comp and installing Vista fresh?

Note: I am prepared to format and install XP a fresh in case of any major
errors.

the comp I have to install it on is in need of a format anyways and isnt my
main comp.

As long as it is not your primary home computer or a production computer you
are good to go. Run the Vista Upgrade Advisor while you are still running
XP to see if you need to attend to any issues before installing Vista. You
can ignore the software issues since you will be doing a clean installation,
but you should pay attention to driver issues closely.

Yeah what Colin said. TRY IT!
Check to see if your video card can support Aero Glass because that's the
kewl visual part of Vista but it's not necessary.
On and BTW, next time, try calling it a "clean install" and not Vista Fresh.
That makes it sound like some kind of a salad! <jk>

If your important data is safe and you have the confidence to be able to
wipe everything off your hard drive if you do not like Vista and restore
XP and all your favored applications, then I would say, 'Yes, do it'. If
you are going to have Vista as your OS on your main computer, then do a
clean install rather than an upgrade. Too many people have been having
problems with the upgrade. This should not be a surprise since, if you
remember a few years ago, when XP first came out, many people had
problems upgrading their Windows 98, or 95 computers to XP.
