According to this post, the virus modifies the drive so
that it is in a hidden partition. It also installs itself
into the BIOS, and possibly firmware on some devices,
which then loads itself when the computer starts. It then
detects whether you try to use DOS, Linux, or Windows,
and disables any options of removing it you might have.
It opens your computer up to several websites.

Speculations are that this virus installs itself by
posing as a WHQL driver, therefore you don't see any
prompt to install it and it has direct access to the
system. If this is true, then all computers are at risk.
The topic reports that the virus has been seen on Windows
and Macintosh computers.

sounds like the foil hat virus... remember the one that used to infect the
subcarrier on 1200 baud modems and wipe out cpus by putting them in an
infinite bs loop or some such unheard of thing.

That eas one person's ramblings,I wouldn't put much stock in it until it's
verified by a well known Virus/Trojan company.
You can always tell if threats like this are B/S when they say no virus
scanner can detect/remove it but go on to explain how it can defeat them.If
you know how it works it can be detected and removed.
This was my rambling. :-)
