[I give up!!!]

Ok so I gave up winmedia player,or as much as I
could,then I uninstalled winamp,installed realplayer,
and I can hear everything except midis.
All preferences are set,soundcards and drivers ok,
is there something missing in the registry?

Thank you,
I checked all that,and one tech even told me to
reinstall IE and XP,ya right,I would rather do without
the midis,since I still hear all the other music.
Just happen to like my midis..

One more place to check:
Start/Control Panel/Sound and Audio/Audio tab
down to the bottom MIDI music playback - Select your media
If you have a special sound media installed like SB Live -
make sure the box for using default devices is not checked.
Click Apply and OK.
