I have the blaster worm on my computer. I go to microsoft
online in order to download what I need to solve the
problem but I alway end up having my computer shut down
before I can get the info I need. Is there anyway to get
my computer to delay having a (PCR)problem and shutting
down windows.

Hi,

Go to Control Panel, double click the system manage tools
icon, select and double click the device service icon, in
the drop down list, select and double click "service".
In the right pane, find the "Remote Procedure Call" and
right click, click property; click the repair tab;
change the 1st fail, 2nd fail and cont. fail to "restart
service" then click apply and confirm. (Note: do not
change the "Remote Procedure Call Locator" which is just
listed under the Remote Procedure Call)

Remember to revert to the original settings after you have
removed the worm.

You can also try to go to symantec.com to download the
blaster worm removal tools.

Hope it helps.

Peter
