I am not good at computers so please be patient. A month
or two ago there was a worm (or virus I don't know the
difference) that makes some versions of windows (I have
xp) restart every few minutes. Can someone give me the
link so I can find the patch?

they'll gladly help you out for free just so you don't spread something.

Go to www.nai.com and look on the security link and then
tools. You want the STINGER program because it will remove
and fix just about all the viruses that are out there.

Download it, it will fit on a floppy, and run it on the
infected computer. If you run it on an infected computer be
sure to write protect the floppy so the virus can't alter
the program.

If you connected the PC to the Internet without having first
installed the KB824146 Hotfix, without having first installed an
antivirus application with current virus definition files, and before
enabling a firewall, you're very likely to get infected from any of
the thousands of PCs on the Internet that are constantly broadcasting
the worms.
