i opened a web page and all of a sudden, i have major popups, and my windows
registry is screwed up. i have the error of this everytime i start my
ciomputer and log on "an exception occured while trying to run
"c:\windows\system32\mmoeacct.dll",dllgetversion" i wanted to reformat my
computer and i do have the recovery cd's, but when i put one of them in, all
i see are a bunch of files, how do i recover with these dvds? thanks

put cd/dvd #1 in first/top cd drive and reboot computer. recovery cd should
autorun and enter a recovery menu.

The ash tray is full, huh?

mmoeacct.dll is probably scumware.

A retail version of Windows XP comes on one CD. You mention that you have
"recovery cds" and you also make reference to "dvds". Which is it cds or
dvds? In any event if you have Recovery Disks supplied with the computer you
should consult the manuals or info that came with the computer/Recovery
disks to learn how to use them. Or contact the vendor of your system to see
what they advise. Recovery disks tend to be different from manufacturer to
manufacturer.
