just installed a nee dell 3000 series. few days later
started rcvg 40-50 internet mail delivery failures. I had
not sent any mail.
Scanned with McAfee wch came with computer. "very
conveniently" mcafee seems to know about this virus and
their pop ups offer various plans at varying costs.
Sounds a bit fishy. Never had this problem with old
computer
Virus scan showed one infected file
C:\\WINDOWS\ehmdkcb.exe message states it can't be
cleaned so i quarantined it. What is this file ? Can it
be deleted and then replaced with a clean version.
also am rcvg security advisory notices from a Microsoft
appearing site, offering q176779.exe patch and
installation2.exe patch. went to download and got a
message "authenticode signature not found"
is this a legit microsoft site sending these patch
announcements ?
any help wld be appreciated.
