World of Warcraft random deep freezes

I am a long subscriber of this game, and I must say I am quite impressed
with the game's stability on the Windows XP system. I've recently (about
half a month ago) upgraded to using Windows Vista Ultimate Beta2, and
despite its interface similarities to the Mac, I enjoy it very much!
However, the WoW game that I play so often does not fare so well on the
Vista system. The freeze problem is very random, 1stable, when it freezes,
even the escape sequence: ctrl+alt+delete does not respond(hence requires a
powerdown), but sometimes I can play for 3-5 hours straight smoothly and
sometimes it'd freeze a couple of times within an hour. This has NEVER
happened on the XP system I used to have. I have 3.2ghz Intel dual core
with radeon x600 256mb vid. ram and 2GB 533MHz ddr2 memory. Any insights or
comments are greatly appreciated!
 
WOW is an awesome game. I agree, it isn't very stable in beta 2, but I hope
in RC1 it will work with no problem. If someone using the latest build has
tried World of Warcraft, how is it running?
 
The only thing stopping me using Vista at the moment is the very poor
performance of wow compaired to under XP.

I use an Nvidia 6600GT. It does play but there can be some UI gliches
and the performance is no good for raiding.
 
iam using rc1 and there is a noticeable improvement on this build it was
unplayable nearly on beta 2 but seems nearly as fast as xp now,just waiting
for an extra 1 gig of ram to improve things a little more....

I am running World of Warcraft every day on my Vista RC1 computer. I have no
more problem with it than I was having with Windows XP.

It was not really working under Beta 2, I agree with that.

I run WoW on Vista RC1. Slighly worse performance than under XP, but
nothing too serious. Radeon 9600XT here, with XP drivers.
 
I have Vista RC1 and though I haven't done anything too intensive such as
raids or anything like that, the game runs fine. I have no addons installed
either, so that could be an issue.

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 2997MHz
Memory: 1.5GB DDR333
Video: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro (NOT THE ATI DRIVERS, I used the ones that Vista
supplied me with)
