World/Microsoft Logo in upper right hand corner

First, does anyone have the name for this logo/bmp/icon?
I can't run a valid search because I don't know what it is
called.
Second, my friend's has changed from the original MS then
World logo to Yahoo. We have uninstalled the Yahoo
toolbar, but their stupid logo remains. I searched in the
registry, but couldn't find it. Does anyone know how to
change this back. I upgraded his IE5 to 6.0, but that
still doesn't do it.
