hi there,

we have got a sbs 2000 connected to a connexant router for internet
access.

from 2000 sbs, i can :-

a) ping and tracert outside world
b) ping internal network
c) browse websites [without specifying proxy server in IE]

but from worstations, i can :-

a) ping internal network
b) browse websites [without specifying proxy server in IE, but have
ISA Firewall client installed]
but from workstations, cannot ping or tracert outsite world. i mean
when i type "ping www.google.com" in command prompt, i get "Pinging
www.google.akadns.net [66.102.11.99] with 32 bytes of data", but then
"request timed out"

internet is working fine on workstations and server.

i have got dhcp server enabled on sbs 2000 and on workstations, i have
even manually specified the dns server IPs provided by my ISP

can anyone help please??

thnx in advance

Thank you very much for the reply Marina. But can we change this
default setting ? If yes, then how can I change this default settings?

Thanks in advance.

Warm Regards

Yes, you can change that. Go to www.smallbizserver.net and have a look there
in the ISA 2000 section.
