Worksheet will not open

Hi, I hope someone can help me with a Worksheet issue. When I double click an
Excel file the application launches however the worksheet does not open until
I click the Office Button i.e. Exccel opens minus the worksheet, if I click
teh office Button everything appears and from then on works just fine. I am
using Office 2007, I have installed the latest patches via Microsoft update
and have also run a repair. I did Google this but could not see any of the
same issues. Event logs show no problems.

Can anyone help?
 
This is fixed... I looked at a similar post and followed this advise: So many
thanks for that... :)

Go to your Control Panel, (click on Start then Click on Control Panel)
Click on Folder Options, then File Types, scroll down to and select (DOC for
Word files) or XLS (for Excel files),
click Advanced and select Open entry,
click the edit Button.
deselect "Use DDE"
append "%1" (include the quote marks) to the end of the application command
line,
Remove /dde if it is at the end of the command line
Then click on OK three times.
