As we all know, a workbook may have many worksheets.
Each worksheet is (normally) represented by a sheet tab at the bottom of the
sheet.
Is there any way to (programmatically) change the appearance of these tabs
(individually) e.g. font, forecolor, backcolor etc. ?

Magne,

In Excel 2002 and 2003, you can change the color of the tab (but
not the font). Right click the tab, and choose Tab Color.

Thanks, I did not mention that my question was about Excel 2000 which does
not have "Tab color" and I guess it is not possible to do programmatically
either.

that's correct, unless you want to change to color of all the sheet tabs,
scroll bars etc to a different color.
