Works Word Processor

My computer came with Works loaded on it, but not Word.
When forwarding Works documents to others via email, most
recipients are not able to open my documents. This is
especially frustrating when using job search sites that
require a .doc formatted resume'. Anybody have any
suggestions, other than purchasing Word?
 
Use the "file/save as" command and save in the .doc format
(one of the WORD formats as listed on the drop down list.
