D Dave Neve Oct 2, 2003 #3 Hi I had a similar problem cos when I send a works table to people who don't have it , they can't open it even with Excel. If you just want to read it and not edit it, ask the sender to make a .pdf image of it with a program called PDF mail (freeware) It works fine

J Jezebel Oct 2, 2003 #4 Can't remember whether Word 97 had it, but Word 2000 can open wps files: check the 'Files of type' list on the File > Open dialog.
