Works installation

I am trying to load Works 2000 on my desktop comp which
uses Windows XP Pro OS. I keep getting the following
error message:
"Error 1305. Error reading from file:
E:\common\msshared\textconv\works432.cnv. verify that the
file exists and that you can access it."

I tried online support but they need a product id # and I
can't get the product id until I install the program
(??). I have installed this same program on an older
computer and I had no problem with installation.

Please advise,
