What you need is WORKS or OFFICE with converters, there are
several different types of applications in WORKS, word
processor, spreadsheet, database, calendar, even WORD if you
buy WORKS SUITE.
You can open any file with Notepad just to see the content
but it may be hard to read because of lack of formatting and
the presence of code symbols.
WORKS word processor files use .wps
WORKS database uses .wds
WORKS spreadsheet uses .wks
If you have OFFICE open the appropriate application and use
the file/open menu to select and open the file, this will
start the converter.
