We had multiple Dell PC's with XP and recently I was assigned one of the other PC's. IT has never worked relaibly with offline files. Everytime I disconnect from the network, the files are inaccessible. It appears I am doing nothing different from my other PC, but I am getting different results. When I click on the shortcut for a directory on my desktop is shows I get a dialog box saying the shrotcut is unavailable, and if I go to the offline files is shows the files but when I clck on the file the application (Word, Excel) launches and then it fails to retrieve the file.
