Working okay but...

I scan my computer. Thats ok. It finds about 200 files. I then will click on
remove and its starts to remove the files that it has found. Then all the
sudden it says system shutdown. It gives me a minute to save any thing i have
running. It will then shut down, as if i held down the button to shut it off.
Then reboots. I re-open the spyware program and it only deleted 1 file. Any
ideas?
Answers will be much appreciated!

Jared,

A couple thoughts,

1) a reinstall of Microsoft Antispyware should fix any problems with
completing a scan

2) It sounds like you have 'automatically restart' on any system failure
checked in your settings. This is nothing but an annoyance and is the first
thing I change after a reformat of Win XP. To disable this 'feature':

* right-click My Computer > Properties > Advanced tab
* click the 'settings' button under heading 'startup & recovery'
* Uncheck 'automatically restart', click 'OK'
* reboot

The shutdown popup means that you are infected. You have to stop the
shutdown sequence to allow the anti spyware scan to complete.

When the shutdown box appears, quickly go to start | run and type in
shutdown -a, then press the enter key

This will abort the shutdown and allow the scan to continue.
