Hello All
I looked in the FAQs and archives but could not get a definite idea on what
is going on. I inherited a client that has some XPe embedded stations
running citrix and Novel D Frame and Zenworks to push published apps out to
users. They are running XPe SP1 or 2 I am not sure as yet, on 1 Ghz CF cards
by Sandisk .
It seems like everynow and again a perfectly fine Thin Client will bkue
screen and then the machine will reboot and we get an error message saying
there is no OS. We reimage and the machine works fine. However this will
happen again.
I deployed some previous thin clients out there with the same hardware
except the CF were 512 MB and with these 512MB we were able to use the
utility from Sandisk to mark as non removable. It seems that the developer
of this XPe image put them on consumer grade CF and they are not able to
mark them as non removable.
I am not sure what could be causing them to blue screen like this except the
fact that the CF are defective or the fact that they are not marked as non
removable.
Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas how we can stop them from
losing their images?
Thanks!
