I have a small workgroup network. 1 Desktop running
Windows 2000 pro and 1 laptop running Windows XP Home
edition.
I can see both pc's on the network and can access the
laptop from the pc but I can not access any of the shares
on the desktop from the laptop which is running the XP
home edition. I have enabled file and print sharing on
both machines but I still can not access the desktop from
the laptop.
I would like to share the printer that is connected to the
desktop however I can not see that either. I have shared
the printer but it is still not showing up.
I have made sure that I have administrator rights but it
seems to not make any difference.
Again I can see everything from the desktop to the laptop
but not from the laptop to the desktop.
If I have not confused you all enough any suggestions
would be greatly appreciated.
