workgroup problem

I take care of the computers at a small carlot. The program we use requires
one computer act as the server while the other acts as a simple terminal.
We're set up in a workgroup, no actual servers. Both computers run windows
xp home. Before, i mapped a network drive to the main computer with no
problem; however, for what ever reason, i lost the mapping and have been
unable to restore it since. I've re-run the network setup wizard on both
computers with no resolution. any help would be appreciated.

Not a lot to go on. You said you lost the mapping. Is the drive/directory
share on the server computer still shared? Have you installed any firewall
software? Have you changed the firewall settings on the server?

In essence, verify the share name and permissions on the server and go to
the client and look for it.

No changes have been made; the drive/folder is still shared; the only
firewall we use is norton IS...it was a good thought though

On the client computer, can you right click on My Network Places/Find
computer and type in the server computer name and view the shares?

Something has changed, even if the users won't tell you what it is.
