We are runing a workgroup network with all share folders
allowing maximum users. We get a message that no more
connections can be made to this remote computer at this
time because there are already as many connections as the
computer can accept. This computer/server is running
Windows 2K Pro. The active users can be 12 to 16 when the
message appears. Users Windows operating systems vary (XP
pro, XP home, 98, 2000 pro, NT Workstation, Millenium)

Win2kPro only allows up to 10 simultaneous connections. You need to upgrade
to a server version of the OS.

There is a license limit of 10 user workstation
connections to Win2K/XP Pro. The limit is
hard-wired in to the O/S.

You need a Server product to get past this.
