Workgroup Name Resets to MSHOME on each boot

I've posted the same problem on July 7 with the subject
"Making Workgroup and file sharing permanent" and have
received no help until now. It seems that there are not
so many people willing to help as in the news groups
for programming, as for C++.
 
Instead of running the wizard, try right-clicking on My Computer and going
to Properties, then the Computer Name tab, then click Change. Enter the new
workgroup name.. that should theoretically change your workgroup name (after
a restart of course).
