"Workgroup" Lasers inappropriate for home use?

You do realize the IBM is the size of a small car? It's an AFP printer
intended for very high volumes. Either $58 is a mistake, or it is so out of
date as to be worthless.

clicked around for awhile...
I notice no Minolta or Samsung, (low $ retail models) listed in the
"under $100"
http://shopping.com/xPP-Printers--below__100-laser___led

so there must be something different about the lasers on this page

$50 for IBM 4100??? refurb maybe?

It's not even a refurb at that price! Methinks that decimal point shouldn't
be there at all! I Googled it and the cheapest refurb I found was £1600!
Can't find a new price.

Actually, if you follow the links, you find that what it really refers
to is a
"Sonicare 4100 (PS1) Advance Electric Toothbrush".

As for "workgroup lasers" in the home, I have an HP4M, which probably
fits that description. If you have the room, and get one cheap, go for
it. (Though not a "large workgroup" one like the IBM4100.) "Home"
models usually mean cheap, flimsy, unrepairable, host-based, with
expensive consumables.
