Workgroup file has disappeared?

My apologies if this is in the wrong group, but I am unsure of the
correct classification of this problem.

I have generated a new workgroup file for use with Access 2000 under
Windows 2000. I have modified the owner and admin accounts with the
workgroup to try and make the database more secure. On the machine
where I created the workgroup file, I still have all design privileges
necessary and Access tells me that it is using that workgroup file.

However:

I saved the file to "My Documents" on this machine, and I cannot see
it. If I cannot see it, I cannot migrate my development of this
solution to another computer, which will shortly become a big problem.

Does anyone have an explanation for why this happened, and where I can
find a solution?

Thanks,

Daniel.

Hi.
My apologies if this is in the wrong group

Microsoft.Public.Access.Security would have been a good one. But no matter.
Many of the experts who hang out in that newsgroup hang out in this one,
too.
Does anyone have an explanation for why this happened, and where I can
find a solution?

Sometimes files don't get saved where we think they do. The easiest way to
check the path and file name of the workgroup you're currently joined to (as
opposed to the workgroup joined to when double-clicking on a database file
name to open it) is to press <CTRL><G> to open the Immediate Window. Type
the following and then press the <ENTER> key:

?SysCmd(acSysCmdGetWorkgroupFile)

The resulting path and file name are where you saved the workgroup file that
you're currently using.

Many thanks, Gunny.

The workgroup manager was telling me that the "missing" file was
active, but the test you provided pointed to the appropriate file.
