I have Laptop Win98 Secon eddition
Desktop#1 Win 2000 Pro
Desktop#2 Win 2000 Pro
Lap top Win xp Pro
Try to get workgroup going and I have problem with
Desktop#1. When I go to My Network place and Workgroup I
see Desktop #1 on all computers, but when I try to see
files I got the following massage:
On WinXP pro: Desktop #1 is not accessible. You might not
have permission to use this network.

On Laptop Win 98: Computer displays Resource:\\Desktop #1
\IPC$ and ask for the password, which I do not know.

On Desktop#2 Win 2000 Pro no problems it displays files
fine. But I have to put in username:"administrator" and
password:"tikolo" when I start the computer. The same
passwork does not work with LAptop Win98.

Anybody any idea what to do?

Regards, loko

.
I HAVE NO IDEA

Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup and that all useraccounts
exist on all computers (W2K/XP's). Got File- and printersharing loaded? Is
Netbios over TCP/IP enabled (Advanced properties of TCP/IP, tab WINS)?
