Workgroup browsing/sharing problem

Posted before but will try to be briefer to encourage
more feedback:

I cannot view the computers in the workgroup in Network
Places and get the workgroup not accessible error. On
one computer I can view the other computers but if I try
to access another computer it is not accessible. Which
computer this is changes after reboots.

3 computers all running flavors of XP
Linksys BEFW11S4 Router/Gateway with wireless
All in the same workgroup with unique names
All on the same subnet
All firewalls are off
NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on all machines
No other protocols are enabled
File and printer sharing is enabled
Simple file sharing is enabled on all machines
Tried having guest account enabled
Tried having identical accounts and passwords on all
machines
Router has DHCP dynamically assigning addresses
Can ping between all machines using IP address
Cannot ping between any machines using computer name
Can use net view to see resources using IP address
Cannot use net view to see resources using computer name
(System error 53 occurs)
Results of ipconfig /all for two of the computers is at
the end of the message.

It seems to me that NetBIOS is somehow failing despite
being enabled on all machines. One theory is that
something is wrong on the computer, the other that the
router might be blocking the NetBIOS broadcasts. I have
explored the router however and can find nothing that
would do this or stop it from doing this.

The problem is the "Peer-Peer" node type, which means that the
computer only uses a WINS server (which, paradoxically, isn't
available in a peer-to-peer network) for NetBIOS name resolution.

Run the registry editor, open this key:

HLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Netbt\Parameters

and delete these values if they're present:

NodeType
DhcpNodeType

Reboot, then try network access again.

If that doesn't fix it, open that registry key again, create a DWORD
value called "NodeType", and set it to 1 for "Broadcast" or 4 for
"Mixed".
