I just got a HP Pavilion 515X computer that has Windows XP
Home Edition.

I find that My Documents is in WordPad.

When I transfer my old files to My Documents, they are
placed in WordPad.

I want to change the My Documents file folders that are in
WordPad to WordPerfect 10. How can I do this?

Thanks...........Tom

Did you install WordPerfect 10 on your new HP computer?

Your question is very confusing. My Documents is a folder, a part
of your hard drive. Wordpad is a program, as is WordPerfect. A
folder can not be *in* a program. Instead a program accesses a
folder to get the files it needs.

Please clarify what you are asking.

I think what the Op is saying is that on the old machine, documents
opened in WordPerfect because that was the installed Word processing
application - but on the new, documents open in Wordpad, probably
because there is no installation of WordPerfect on the new machine. I
think.....

Well, he says "I want to change the My Documents file folders
that are in WordPad to WordPerfect 10." That implies to that he
*does* have WordPerfect installed.

But if we can get two different ideas about what he means, that
just reinforces my view that we shouldn't make assumptions, and
wait for him to clarify his question.
