C cmar May 20, 2006 #5 Hi Pop: Let me amend my question to ask about .rtf files. I have Word installed. I checked my Options in Word. I don't have "Always create backup copy" checked. I can't figure out why Win XP insists on creating a *.bak file for each ..rtf file.
