wordlist/alphabetizer ?

I'm interested in maintaining a rather custom wordlist of sorts.

I wonder if I can find something to help me:

1) alphabetize words gathered from from a text file / clipboard
2) delete the duplicate words

I thought there once was a notepad replacement that did this, but alas, I
can't seem to locate it. Anybody know of anything ->freeware<- that can do
this? All I can seem to locate is other-than-freeware-ware.
