Hi there,
I have reinstaled Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 (plus some updates - online) recently, because it has been deleted by mistake. Everything is fine but one thing that is Word. When I start this program it apears with no toolsbar on the top (or many - I dont know how is it officialy called). Just a blank page with gridlines and Layout -layin view (bottom left).
Pleas help if is steel possible. How can I return old shape of Word.

Happy New Year

Hi,
Unfotunately that are the things I could not find (File, View, Edit, Insert. Tools, Data, Help...). Those slots i was looking for.
Thx a lot

A couple of suggestions:

1. Could be corrupt basic template file.

Find the file "normal.dot" and delete it or rename it to "normal.bak".
Restart Word, (which wil create a new normal.dot file), and see if
that fixes it.

To find the file open My Computer, Local Disk C, Documents and
Settings, then search for file normal.dot

2. Repair Office
- Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon in Control Panel.
- Double-click the Office 2000 or Excel 2000 entry listed in the
Add/Remove Programs dialog box.
- Click Repair Office.
- Click Repair errors in my Office installation, and then click
Finish.

3. Uninstall / reinstall Office
