E Evi Oct 26, 2003 #3 If all else fails in Word, close Word, find Normal.dot and rename it to NormalOld.dot. When you re-open Word a new Normal.dot is created. Is the menu bar still absent if you shrink the window ie has it disappeared off the top of the screen? Go to Tools, Customise and check if the Menu Bar is ticked.on the Toolbars page.
