Word XP wirteprotects my documents agains my will.....

Hello

I have a BIG problem. My Word-XP writeprotects my documents which are saved at my HD against my will.

Anybody have any clue why?

These options are not available in Word 2002.

Are you saying that your documents are locked for editing or open Read Only?

From the "Tools" menu, click "Protect", uncheck any selections for "Limiting
formatting to a selection of styles, "allow only this type of editing in the
document" and for groups uncheck everyone.

They can be edited, but not saved.......if you see.

I can change the filename and then save it though, but that is really unpractical.
