I've just been upgraded from Word 20000 to Word XP. I selected a block of
text and hit "Delete" - and nothing happened! Looking around my screen, I
spotted a message on the Status Bar - "Delete Block? No (Yes)".

I realize this is a "feature" and not a bug - but I'd still like to squash
it! Any help at doing so is appreciated.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | General | uncheck the two
boxes for WordPerfect help and navigation | OK.

~~WordPerfect??~~ On automatically?? What has Mr. Gates been sniffing!??
And how was I supposed to know? Sheesh! Glad to have nice people who can
figure this out around to help the rest of us! Thank you.

It isn't on by default, but a lot of vba utilities that start out by
recording macros end up replicating strange settings...

Easy there, Wilbur! I'm old enough to remember the originals! And the
horse was always right! Then again, I don't he used a computer or had kids
