word wrap doesn't work... in OE, yahoo mail and gmail

Hi,

In outlook express, word wrap has stopped working. Interestingly, the word
wrap
in yahoo mail and gmail have also stopped working... so I'm guessing some
general windows function has gotten corrupted? I have winXP home sp2. I'm
resisting going
to SP 3 becasue I have some old hardware that still isn't supported under
sp3/vista.

Any ideas?

In OE, Under tools-options-send-Plain text settings I have it set at 76
characters and am composing in plain text. It's not working. Characters
scroll indefinately down a single line unless I carriage return.

I doubt that. I know very little about Yahoo mail or Gmail, but I can
tell you that there is no general word-wrap functionality in the OS.
That's something that's handled by the individual applications. Check
your option settings in those programs.

As far as this post of yours, your word wrap *is* working. It is
customary to set it no higher than 72 characters, however. Word wrap
doesn't get applied until you click Send.

While you are composing your post, just make sure you resize your window
so *your* lines aren't too long.

The tools-options-send-Plain text wrap test setting is
set at 72 for email and newsgroups.

OK,

My bad.... sorry.... word wrap works in OE.... It still doesn't in yahoo
and gmail, but that'll be a different problem.
