My users download .jtf from our secure site. B4 the Security Update,
providing the file assoc. was made, one could select open and the file would
open from the download dialog in WD VIEWER 2003 and they could print the
file. Since updates my user open the file and try printing but nothing
happens. The website freezes up and we have to use Task Manager to end the
job 'cause Windows thinks the file is still being sent to the printer (print
in progress.) They aren't even getting the Print Preference dialog box. We
were able to open the file in Word but I NEED for them to open in Viewer.

I have tried Uninstalling and reinstalling WD Viewer and even tried
uninstalling the security pac and then uninstall/reinstall of WD Viewer.
The CPU usage jumps to 100% at time of sending the job to the printer but
then jumps back down to 4% or 6% . What's up? What am I missing?

I've heard about a few reports that KB927891 has been removing entries
from SvcHost on Win 2K systems, not XP.
Uninstalling the update will not restore the needed entries.
The Values posted are the Default ones.

Great advise but all my remote users are on machine are Windows XP.
Additionally, the nature of my business relationship doesn't allow for me to
look at the registry structure in an effort as to not assume liability in the
event of a system failure.

Are there any low tech ideas that I can have my users execute? In a lurch
because our business has become reliant on MS products like WD Viewer. (The
files open/print in MS Word but we can not allow for the users to edit the
documents since they are legally binding.)

Sorry, but that's the only info that's come in so far regarding issues
with KB927891.
The Values posted came from an XP Pro SP2 install, BTW.

Correct me if I'm wrong BUT, if Word is installed on the clients'
systems along with Word Viewer then the clients can still Edit documents
via File, Open for Editing, from within Word Viewer, right ?

The only recourse with MS that would not cost anything would be to email
the 'Microsoft Windows Update' product group for assistance -
