I recently have been wanting to take a word Document with notes allready
typed and put them into a PPT document and I've tried the exporting to PPT
but the problem I'm having is that I allready have a PPT template that i just
want to Import the notes into, and what it does now is creates a new PPT and
new slides
I've Looked through the Disscusion boards for like a hour so if someone can
help me that would be great
Thanks

I'm working for a client so i dont want to have to install something that
they wouldnt be able to do by themselves because they said they want to be
able to do this in the future without my help so if there is anything that i
can use that doesnt involve installing anything it would be appreciated
Thanks

This is not possible to do without. installing some software (like the free
vba code I posted) or the client doing a lot of cutting and pasting.

The Word to PowerPoint notes process could be further automated and a fairly
simple add-in installed on the clients' computer to facilitate future
transfers.
Is this something your client is willing to have created for them, or is it
a wish list item?

They can use the installed add-in without your help.

Anyway, you can do the Send to PPT and then apply the template to the new
presentation it creates. Or copy the new slides into an existing
presentation or whatever. But there's no way to send from Word to a specific
template in PPT natively.

Oh, I suppose you could take that existing template and name it blank.pot or
blank presentation.pot, which is the default PPT template. Thing is, that
will make your template the default template whenever PPT is opened, and
they may not like that, either.

Its Partially Half and Half. They are Having me doing the Powerpoints they
have now but they want to be able to do it in the future by themselves if
they want to make a new PPT. And as for installing that Marco The directions
were alittle confusing and i got up to the part where I tried to run it but
there was an error. It says Sub or Function not defined. And then your
website doesnt say what to do after that.
I also dont know if this will work for the project im on bc i allready have
BKG slides and Formatted the way i want it
