Word to Powerpoint

Is there any way to put a word document into a powerpoint presentation I am
using Office 2007?

Depends on what you mean by put in a PowerPoint presentation. Do you want
the complete document in PPT or do you want to create slides based on the
Word text?
If the former go to Insert tab - click Object - click use file - browse to
your Word file select and click OK.
Then if you want to show the Word document during the slide show, activate
the custom animation task pane, select the object, click Add effect, objects
action, choose open. During the slideshow click the object (possibly click
the box show as an icon if you don't want the object to take to much space)
and Word will start up and show the document.
