We use global templates carried forward from office 97 - all new and old computers are set up to look at a networked startup directory which contains are templates and has previously worked with no problems
- we have recently upgraded servers - all of the workstations still see the templates -but some workstations have decided they would prefer not to acknowledge the templates are even there!! Is there anyone who has come across this?

This isn't a problem with your templates but with your network.

Which version of Word are you using? In the cases with problems, what are
your macro security settings? Are they set to trust the startup location?
