PowerPoint isn't a word-processor, even though you can enter text. If you
are looking for the ability to add text to your slides (which too many is a
bad idea), click the "Outline" TAB at the top left of the left hand side
screen. Depending on which version you have, you can also access it at the
bottom left (series of 4-5 small icons - one is Outline View).
At that point you can type your titles, hit ENTER, then press TAB to access
the first line of your textbox placeholder, hitting ENTER to add another
"First level paragraph", or TAB-ing to move to a Second level paragraph.
However, I repeat, if you are just typing text into a PowerPoint
presentation to read to your class, you are missing the PowerPoint boat!
Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words!

I am new to using powerpoint and am working with powerpoint for a college
class. Does anyone have any idea what the word-processing feature in
powerpoint is and how it works? Or where I can find any information about
this feature of powerpoint? I have searched everywhere and can't find
anything.
